Part of the joy of collecting is finding something that stumps the experts! These two lights have done just that. Each has been part of the collection for a long time, devoid of heritage. Any information would be welcomed!
Cowl lights were mounted just outside of either windshield on early cars. Later, the lights moved forward to the fenders, and by the 1950s, were incorporated into the grill, beside the headlights. Only white, yellow, and green lights can be forward facing. All red lights must be visible only from the rear on any private or commercial vehicle. The only exception is for police or fire/emergency vehicles.
